southerly biking--17 april 2013

we're heading off on our 1st adventure after a quiet winter spent at home.  happy to have you along.  we're both excited and ready for another interesting, yet much shorter in time (only 5-6 weeks) but hopefully a more physically challenging journey...

we're heading to the south, taking gravy and our road bikes.  our mission will be, and yes, we've chosen to accept, not only biking various trails in Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee, but playing tourist in an area where neither of us have spent much time.  we plan on putting in as many miles as we can on the Mississippi River Trail, the Natchez Trace Parkway, Tammany Trace and the Longleaf Trace.  we are sure to see more beautiful places in our amazing country, learn something new (or more than one something), listen to some fabulous music, eat some delicious creole, cajun and gulf food, and who knows what else???  so, stay tuned for our southerly biking adventure.

remember, if you'd like to view any of the photos included anywhere in this blog (and do feel free to peruse through the photos of days past), in a larger format, just click once on any photo and scroll through as a slide show.  we hope you enjoy...
