Bangkok, Thailand -- March 2017

In March, we found ourselves in Bangkok, Thailand, as Aly had a week-long conference and Buddy, being the 'trailing spouse' as commonly referred to in this line of work, 'trailed his spouse'.

It was a busy week for Aly and we didn't take any additional leave, but we did take plenty of photos while in the HUGE city during the limited spare time we had.

Bangkok is the capital of Thailand where 8 million people call home in a city spanning 605 sq miles.  The entire metropolis has almost 15 million people spanning almost 3,000 sq miles!  To give you a sense of perception--Dallas has 1.3 million people in the city spanning 385 sq miles and the DFW metropolitan area has 7 million people spanning 1,400 square miles.

We were lucky to stay in a very nice hotel right on the Chao Phraya River and took river taxi's 3 nights out exploring.  Our room was on the 12th floor with river views.  The swimming pool was on the 26th top floor and was lovely.  Below is a tantalizing taste of Bangkok...
